Reports To: RxARECARE Supervisor
Purpose:
The Order Management Pharmacy Technician position enters prescriptions for patients under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and in accordance with federal and state laws, and PANTHERx™ Rare Pharmacy policies.
To accommodate business and patient services, this position may be required to work varied and rotating full-time schedules between 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Monday-Friday as required by the Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assists pharmacist(s) with order management.
- Communicates with prescriber offices via phone, fax, and email to obtain prescriptions.
- Communicates with patients via phone to coordinate prescription shipments.
- Enters data of patient, medical and allergy information into prescription processing system.
- Completes proper documentation on specified forms via the computer system for patient onboarding.
- Additional projects and activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2-4 years’ experience as pharmacy technician
- Licensure Required: N/A
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) licensure
- 1-3 years of specialty pharmacy experience
Work Environment:
