Job Type: Full-time – Hybrid, in office as needed.
Reports to: Program Management
Purpose:
The Specialty Manufacturer Liaison serves as a client facing role responsible for various functions, including accurate and timely response to manufacturer inquiries. This role acts as the primary point of contact for professional, concise internal and external communication regarding referral status updates, next steps in prescription processing, communication, and investigation of reimbursement issues, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations. Coordinates services with specialty pharmacy operations and Program Manager.
- Maintains frequent phone contact with pharmacy staff and external clients.
- Provides exceptional, white glove, customer service to internal and external customers; resolves any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalates appropriately.
- Provides support to ensure efficient referral processing.
- Resolves complex issues with creativity and innovation independently and effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous 2 years of experience in a physician’s office, healthcare setting, and/or insurance background preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Strong Understanding of prescription workflow.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy/medical insurance processing.
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Ability and initiative to work independently or as a team member.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
