PAPA SAN Runner
The hospitality group behind the acclaimed New York City restaurants, Llama Inn and Llama San is expanding its footprint with the upcoming Papa San, a Peruvian Izakaya set to open in early 2025 on 34th Street and 10Th Avenue (in The Spiral building). We are currently looking to hire a talented and experienced runner to start January 2025.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated runner to join our team. With at least 3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant, the ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains attention to detail, and works collaboratively to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Day to Day:
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Support servers in ensuring seamless dining experiences for guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including tables and workstations.
- Restock supplies and assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen work space.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to create a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized section throughout service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-service restaurant.
- High volume experience of 200-300 covers per night preferred.
- Having the ability to read food tickets.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Have a warm and inviting personality
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Rate: $11.00 an hour tips
