About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public and private construction estimating, with experience managing minority goal requirements. The selected individual will be responsible for identifying and preparing project bids, including:
- Obtaining project documents and managing project estimating files
- Performing detailed material takeoffs and obtaining quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers
- Creating preliminary project schedules and supervising and mentoring estimating staff
- Traveling to job sites as required and developing and maintaining records of production costs and performance metrics
The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of legal requirements, quality building practices, project coordination, and construction estimating techniques, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HeavyBid estimating software.
