Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
- Welcome Patients: Greet and assist patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they enter.
- Manage Appointments: Efficiently schedule and coordinate appointments, including follow-ups and wellness visits.
- Verify Information: Update and confirm patient demographics and insurance eligibility to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Collect Payments: Process co-payments and necessary forms to facilitate patient visits.
Back Office Duties:
- Document Care: Assist with documenting patient history, chief complaints, and medication lists during visits.
- Prepare for Visits: Ensure provider orders (lab tests, imaging, etc.) are reviewed and ready before patient appointments.
- Close Charts: Support the clinical team by closing charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
Daily Duties:
- Collaborate with providers to review daily patient appointments and prioritize tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to enhance workflow and patient care.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English is essential to support our diverse patient population.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Licenses/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. Medical Assistant certification and/or diploma required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a medical office setting, with strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Dedication: A commitment to punctuality and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds on wheels, along with the stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
