What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator/Architect position at Paradigm Design?
Paradigm Design is a national Architectural & Engineering firm with offices in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Phoenix, Arizona. We are looking for a team-oriented, personable, and self-driven individual to own and take pride in this role in our Grand Rapids office. As our Project Coordinator/Architect you will support our growing team with precision and thoroughness and ensure tasks are completed on schedule. The candidate for this role will start running multiple small and medium sized projects with little oversight. This role primarily will be to develop construction documents, but also can include code reviews, building audits, client meetings and other tasks needed for full project management.
As our Project Coordinator/Architect you will work on-site at our Grand Rapids office and lead business development for both existing and new clients, while managing existing client relationships in the Midwest region. In this role you will:
- Independently manage multiple projects (minor, medium, and large scope).
- Ability to work with Project Principal or Senior Manager to achieve project goals.
- Defining project needs, setting budgets and schedules, and managing projects for profit utilizing office standard software and reports.
- Managing construction administration activities such as construction contracts, observation trips, shop drawing review, processing of applications for payment, bulletins, change orders, and project close-out.
We believe a successful Project Coordinator/Architect will come equipped with the following:
- Licensed Architect with 5 years experience or
- 8 /- years of related experience required
- Proficient in Revit required
- AutoCAD a plus but not required
- LEED Accreditation is desirable
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license along with a driving record acceptable to Paradigm Design's Insurance provider
