Hardware Technician I and II

JOB SUMMARY:

1st Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

2nd Shift: 4:30 pm - 3 am

Use of various machinery and equipment to install hardware and perform light machining in support of job fabrication requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Review work order, print and/or flat requirements. Fabricate parts as required per work order instructions.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Requires a small degree of experience in sheet metal manufacturing such that the candidate is familiar with some basic fabrication equipment. Requires the ability to read blueprints and have a familiarity with common sheet metal material types and gauges. Requires basic reading, writing, and communication skills normally acquired through grade school or equivalent. Requires mathematical skills normally acquired through high school education or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires the ability to use equipment common to the trade such as hand tools (hammer, wrenches, screwdriver and pliers.). Use of Inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers is desired. Holding and measuring parts, operating a pallet jack.
