Drivers Education Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students on safe driving practices and traffic regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom environment effectively. The Driving Instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of responsible drivers.

Duties

• Educate students on the rules of the road, safe driving techniques, and vehicle operation.
• Conduct both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training sessions.
• Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills.
• Maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages participation.
• Communicate effectively with students, and staff regarding student performance and progress.
• Ensure all training materials are up to date with current laws and regulations.
• Manage classroom activities to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Document student progress towards obtaining a driver's license.
• Schedule appointments with the DMV

Skills

• Strong ability to educate students in both classroom settings and practical driving situations.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain order and focus during lessons.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
• Experience in adult education is preferred, as many students may be adults seeking their licenses.
• Ability to drive safely and demonstrate proper driving techniques during instruction.
• Previous experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
