Paradise City Landscape Design is hiring! We are a design, installation and maintenance company emphasizing well-designed and professionally installed landscapes. We also maintain the spaces we design and install, and we take personal responsibility for ensuring that the place we imagined grows and develops as we intended. Over decades, we have developed close and trusting relationships with our clients as we care for their landscapes at the home or office.
We are looking for an experienced individual who can help with fine garden maintenance and installation starting on or around April 1, 2025 (earlier if the weather allows).
Responsibilities and Duties
The ideal worker will:
Bring a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow professionally with our company. We are looking for people who are reliable, independent yet team-oriented, hard-working self starters.
Assist in maintaining our gardens, including weeding, mulching, deadheading and pruning, Spring and Fall clean ups for residential and commercial properties.
Preferably have 2 years prior experience and extensive horticulture knowledge, including knowledge of plant material, landscape practices, plant installation, pest and disease management.
Assist in garden installations of all sizes, including sod and vegetation removal, grading and bed preparation, composting, planting and fertilizing, mulching, and watering.
Requirements
Must have your own transportation to and from work.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and to engage in physically demanding work over an extended period of time. This is important.
Ability to work in all kinds of weather (rain, cold, hot, humid).
Willingness to drive company vehicles.
Job location and type:
Based in Northampton, Massachusetts, we work in Hampshire and Franklin counties
Job Type: Full-time (35-45 hours weekly, 7:30-3:30), seasonal (March-November)
Weekly pay, (4) days paid personal/sick/holiday time
Compensation commensurate with experience
