Paradise Creek of Olympus Retirement Living is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist with grounds and maintenance and responsibilities for our two beautiful campuses. We are hiring for full-time (30-40 hours/week). This position is under the supervision and guidance of the Maintenance Director and Lead Grounds Technician of the facility, and training and orientation will be completed on-site after hire. Note: All employees of Olympus Retirement Living are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state's specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.
Job responsibilities include:
- Operating grounds machinery such as riding/manual lawn mowers, weed eaters, and more
- In the winter, assisting with snow removal from the facility's parking lots and home driveways/sidewalks
- Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery
- Assisting with room renovations and maintenance projects as needed
- Completing scheduled grounds and landscaping tasks
- Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Responding to grounds-related residential work orders
- Performing routine health and safety checks to ensure that all safety equipment is fully functional
- Responding to emergency calls outside normal hours as needed
- Conducting general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing plug sockets and light switches

Requirements
- High-school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Requires a valid driver's license
Desired qualifications
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (tractor with loader, snowplow, lawn tractor, etc)
- One (1) year of experience in residential maintenance, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, dry wall repair, etc.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care
