ABOUT THE POSITION:
Paradise Jets, a growing luxury aviation company based in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a highly detailed BOOKKEEPER & OFFICE MANAGER who is systems-driven, relatively fast-paced, extremely organized, possessing a “get it done” spirit with strong follow-thru skills, and willing to be an integral part in helping us aggressively expand. This is an in-person, in office position for our Rapid City, SD location. You must be able and willing to be in office most days. There may be some flexibility on time in the office. But the majority of this role is in office.
As a BOOKKEEPER & OFFICE MANAGER, your role is to support the Director of Finance & Records with day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and records of our growing fleet. This includes the gathering, organization, entry, and reconciliation of both FAA and Paradise Jets administrative documents, crew and aircraft specific receipts and expense reports, and charter revenue. You also will be responsible for ensuring our South Dakota office is open daily, helping with mail, customer service, and regulatory requirements.
Therefore, as the ideal person for this position, you must be flexible enough to embrace the nuances of private aviation, while also possessing an unwavering drive for accuracy, commitment to meeting deadlines, and focus on ensuring all involved adhere to the established policies and procedures. You should be able to proactively manage multiple tasks, shift priorities with ease, and quickly analyze, identify, and resolve any deficiencies or discrepancies in receipts, documentation, or reports. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are also essential as you constantly ensure others submit required records in a timely, systematic manner.
Previous experience in charter aviation is not required as comprehensive training will be provided so you can quickly acquire and apply needed aviation knowledge and industry-specific software skills. However, extensive experience with bookkeeping, records management, and QuickBooks Online is a must. You should also be comfortable in and knowledgeable with spreadsheets.
An in-person, in office BOOKEEPER & OFFICE MANAGER located in Rapid City, SD is required. Compensation is salary based on experience plus you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package. You also must pass a background and drug/alcohol test.
