Under the direction of the Maintenance Foreman the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance functions on the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of the property.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Performs routine maintenance and repair on buildings and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical.
- Sweeps floors as necessary or directed.
- Replaces burned out light bulbs, to include exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, emergency lights, and nurse call lights, and performs routine cleaning in high areas.
- Changes filters on HVAC units.
- Assists with routine maintenance and repair on equipment.
- Keeps work areas free of hazardous conditions, grease, or oil spills and excess supplies.
- Keeps the Maintenance Foreman informed of supply needs.
Qualifications:
- Must be knowledgeable of proper usage and safe operation of basic hand tools and power tools used in making repairs.
