- Complete maintenance and repairs at residential apartments, performing quality work, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and using accurate and detailed recordkeeping

- Use smart phone to view job tasks assigned and record notes and photos to close out tasks when complete
- Use smart phone to enter daily time and log activities and work completed at each job
- Quality workmanship and attention to detail

- At least three years of experience in construction, or maintenance, or handyman repairs
- Must be good at troubleshooting and problem solving
- Must have good communications skills, must be good at customer / tenant relations
- Works independently to address work orders.
- Efficient management of incoming service requests
- Work closely with property manager and maintenance coordinator that will help coordinate work tasks
- Call and coordinate with tenants to set times to access apartment to make repairs
- Own modern smart phone and good at using email, text, and apps for business purposes
- Own reliable vehicle to travel around to property locations and carry all materials/tools
- Own all tools needed for general handyman tasks
- Ideal candidate lives in Chicago or within 5 miles of Chicago
- Able to work occasional Saturdays if needed
- Valid driver's license and insurance

- Job Type: Full-time, W-2 employee
- Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week. Normal daytime working hours, with some flexibility allowed
- Mileage: Reimbursed at rate of $0.67 per mile.
- PTO: Paid time off of 10 days per year. For vacation or sick time as needed.
- Holidays: Paid holidays, six per year based on days company office is closed
- Performance reviews at 60 days and 120 days with potential pay increases after proving experience and quality work. Potential to advance to positions of higher responsibility.
