Paragon Systems is hiring for the position of Captain for our NCR ICE contract in Washington, DC. This role requires diligent oversight of all security functions, ensuring compliance with award requirements and maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Train, schedule, and supervise security guards.
- Oversee all aspects of the security functions on-site are performed in a diligent manner; staffing, scheduling, and on-site training of personnel assigned to his/her command.
- Ensure the award-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met before assignment to a post.
- Ensure quality of service and award compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel assigned to his/her site.
- Implement established security protocols, processes, and procedures governing access control, vehicle and personal inspections, and related functions through the direct supervision of the security guards assigned to his/her shift.
- Generate and complete security-related control documents, forms, logs, and reports.
- Suggest recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
- Respond to client requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) plus years’ experience in Security.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- A four (4) year degree or at least four (4) years of documented leadership experience, either in law enforcement, corrections, military, or armed security or a combination of both leadership and college courses pursuing a Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement degree.
- Proven experience in security management or a related field.
- Must have a Secret Clearance.

- Required to use vehicle for the performance of duties.
- Regular talking and hearing.
- Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform work inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situation.
Wage for this position is $82,000.10 per year.

- The paid leave for full-time employees is from 80-160 hours / year based on longevity in the position, and sick leave is a minimum of 48 hours per year for a full-time employee
