What are the responsibilities and job description for the SharePoint Administrator position at Paragon Technology?
We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator for a position located at the Norfolk Naval Base. This position requires an experienced SharePoint administrator to manage classified and unclassified Department of Defense SharePoint environments for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC).
Responsible for configuring, managing, and when necessary, migrating SharePoint platforms across Department of Defense NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS domains. Provide Site Administration and staff support for SharePoint Team Sites, including list design, page layouts, and permissions to meet functional requirements. Assists organizational content managers and owners in institutionalizing web-based document management best practices.
A customer-friendly work approach is essential. Serves as primary onsite technical Tiers 1 and 2 support and trainer for SharePoint Online operations for users, content managers, and supporting administrators. Ability to constructively apply strong technical SharePoint knowledge to support the JECC’s user community.
Responsibilities:
- Must possess demonstrated working experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint forms for tasks.
- Controlling access to sites, document libraries, and setting permissions across HUB and spoke SharePoint sites
- Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
- Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
- Create SharePoint user guides, “how-to”, FAQs, and technical papers.
- Update Internal Ticket system with details, notes, and tasks in role of providing customer service to users in global locations and with varied experience with SharePoint.
- Provide SharePoint support to customers on Out-of-the-box features for Modern SharePoint Online sites, pages, document libraries, and lists.
- Provide content management training to users on how they can use Out-of-the-box features and update their content.
- Manage creation, modification, and deletion of SharePoint Online sites and their respective connection to HUB site(s).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a SharePoint OnlineAdministrator.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems (O365) suite.
- Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service skills with experience in providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3 years of working in DoD environment
- Knowledge of database structure and how two or more pieces of data relate to each other.

Desired Clearance: TS/SCI
Desired Certifications: Security , Microsoft O365 Certified Teamwork Administrator Associate
Position Location: Norfolk, VA, USA (on-site)
Travel Requirements: Less than 10% of year
