Family Practice Medical Billing Specialist and Front Office Receptionist
Requirements:
- Must have 3 years of medical office experience
- Must have at least one year of medical billing or degree in medical billing
General Purpose of this Position:
- To assist medical providers in using the appropriate ICD10 code, check insurance status, bill insurance appropriately, reconcile EOBs and posts, fight denials, reduce A/R, and answer patient billing questions.
- Correctly performs routine billing and coding procedures in a timely and professional manner
- Develops and inputs data into spreadsheet programs
- To answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, answer questions, or direct patients/callers to appropriate parties, check in arriving patients, process payments.
- Opening and closing the cash drawer and balancing each day.
- Opening and logging daily mail, processing any payments received through mail.
- This position is to be crossed trained to perform in the Receptionist position should absence occur.
Schedule:
- Must be able to work the following hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM AND 1 Saturday per month- 9 AM - 12 PM

- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide currency and balance cash drawer with use of tools.
