What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Parallel Employment Group?
Employees will be picking, packaging, shipping orders from warehouse using a scanner and following a work order. Will be placing labels for shipping, taking quantities and different product off the racks like hoses, belts, spark plugs etc. and putting them onto a cart. Will also prepackage and assemble boxes and any other misc. duties assigned as clean up etc. Must pay attention to detail, stand 8 - 10hrs per shift, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50lbs.
Qualifications :
- H. S. Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old to work in a warehouse environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Possible mandatory weekend overtime
- Ability to read, write, add, subtract and identify individual part numbers
- Ability to lift, walk, climb ladders and be on feet for 8 hours a day
- Ability to use part picking and material handling equipment
