Position Overview :
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and repairing various types of measurement and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. You will work with tools such as micrometers, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, and electronic testing instruments in a laboratory environment, and must be extremely detail oriented as well as proficient in math. Key Responsibilities :
- Perform calibration, testing, and adjustments on mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments per industry standards and company procedures.
- Document calibration results accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with ISO / IEC 17025 standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all calibrated instruments meet manufacturer and regulatory specifications.
- Work with internal teams and customers to ensure timely calibration and service completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Keep up to date with advancements in calibration techniques and industry regulations
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical field (preferred).
Education : Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent military or technical training preferred.
Certifications : ASQ CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Skills : Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with calibration equipment.
Knowledge : Familiarity with industry standards (ISO / IEC 17025, ANSI Z540, NIST traceability).
Driver’s License : Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Background Check : Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a lab environment.
Punctuality : This position requires an early start at 5 : 30 AM, and being on time is crucial to ensure seamless service for our customers.
