What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intensive In-Home Counselor position at Paramount Counseling Inc?
This role will be a qualified and trained staff member of Paramount Counseling, Inc who shall be responsible for providing quality support and services to clients by developing and increasing the skills needed. Each client shall have an ISP (and a behavioral plan, as applicable) to address their wants and needs and provide behavioral support. The QMHP-C shall be responsible for completing all necessary paperwork, as required. This position will report to the In-Home Program Manager.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide mental health treatment to individuals receiving services. Provides individual and family services, behavior management, care coordination, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required (supervision is provided weekly)
- Collaborate with referral sources and other treatment providers.
- Create individualized service plans (ISPs) and implement the goals and objectives with clients.
- Complete required clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner (24 hrs. after services completed).
- Ensure compliance with regulations set by governing bodies and maintain standards of care according to DBHDS policies and procedure.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in the client’s (ages 4-21) home
- Assist with the coordination of services to meet the client’s needs (i.e., schools, physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapist, court, probation, or other community professionals)
- Attend weekly supervisions
- Provide, respond, or arrange crisis interventions as needed (must be available 24-hours, seven days a week)
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit timely for compensation of services: Progress Notes (submit within 24 hours after service), Quarterly and Monthly reports, Individualized Service Plans (ISP), Discharge Summaries, etc.
- LMHP or Supervisee/Residents perform assessments to document the need for IIHS
- Assist with records review to maintain compliance, accreditation, and licensure standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's (Required)
- QMHP-C Certification – VA Board of Counseling
- One-year experience with a related degree (i.e., Human services)
- Excellent computer software skills- Electronic Health Records
- CPR, first aid Certification
SCHEDULE/LOCATION
- Flexible Schedule
- After school hours
- Evenings
- Monday through Friday (weekends are optional)
- In Person (No remote responsibilities)
- Must have dependable transportation
