What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Set-Up Operator position at Paratech, Inc.?
Paratech is a ISO 9001 certified manufacture of an ever-increasing number of emergency service, industrial and law enforcement products. Our specialty is tools for technical rescue, but our expertise doesn’t stop there. Paratech products have far ranging applications that extend to shipboard damage control, pipeline, mining, rail, quarries, vehicle maintenance, and recovery – just to name a few. All Paratech products are designed by Paratech engineers and all processes that include milling, turning, rubber molding and assembly are performed at the facility. We take pride in the fact that our goal is to provide the highest quality products we can design and produce. Headquartered in the United States, with offices in Europe and distributors around the world. The factory, located in Frankfort, Illinois (approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago), is fully CNC equipped with extensive molding capabilities.
Summary/Essential Functions
(Include the following; however, other duties may apply.)
· Set-up and Operate 2-3 CNC Mazak or Mori Seiki Mills and/or Lathes Per shift
· Operating with the aid of set-up sheets and pre-made verified programs. Abilities to Write and / or Edit Programs a plus.
· Set-up equipment based on specifications on the blueprint with little to no supervision.
· Select and install Proper tooling into collets, holder, ETC.
· Verify parts conform to blueprints through a First piece verification and in process checks which will be documented through our Paperless System.
· Checks will be carried out using calibrated instruments such as Gauges, Micrometers, and other inspection equipment needed.
· Maintain an accurate count and record production pieces through shift.
· Keep equipment as well as area clean and maintained.
· Comply with all quality, safety protocols, and company policies Performs all machine shop operations.
· Experience with calipers, micrometers, depth mics, and other measuring instruments
· Read and understand blueprints and tolerances.
· Ability to work well with a team as well as working independently.

Physical Demands
· Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
· Lifting to 50 lbs.
· Pushing and pulling objects that are over 50lbs. with mechanical assistance.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
· Full-time position.
· 2nd Shift Only. (Will train on days shift for about 3 months)
· Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM. to 11:30 PM
· Minimum three years of related experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour or commensurate to your experience.
