Resident Aide / Caregiver at Day Program
Parc Center for Disabilities is looking to Resident Aide/Caregiver in Adult Day Training Program. If you love people and are good at engaging, helping, supporting, and caring for people with disabilities, this is the role for you! Join us in our mission to provide opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to exercise their independence and experience life to the fullest. We are a community where all individuals live with dignity and are treated with respect.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 7:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: $16.00/hr.
Your day to day
- Ensure the individuals’ needs are met through supervision, care, and by providing direct assistance in Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
- Follow the individuals’ active treatment plan
- Complete all necessary documentation regarding the individual’s day, tasks, and activities
- Assist the individuals on outings and appointments such as medical or personal care and group activities
- Communicate with team members, parents and/or guardians respectfully and effectively about the individuals schedule, activities, etc.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have good organizational skills and be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Must be able to pass a Level II Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Screen.
