Primary Duties

  • Ensure that various functional areas adhere to contract performance requirements as well as quality assurance program requirements.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections and audits; document, review, analyze and report data to monitor performance.
  • Ensure that quality system requirements are maintained and reported.
  • Coordinate the activities of the quality control function to ensure achievement of program objectives.
  • Act as the official liaison with the Project Manager and the Contracting team on any all concerns or issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor program policies and procedures in compliance with applicable funding and regulatory bodies. Revise as necessary and implement.
  • Conduct needs analysis studies and confers with managers and supervisors to determine training needs. May identify relevant quality-related training needs.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive quality procedures.
  • Evaluate current operations and recommend changes/process improvements; implement such changes as necessary to improve efficiency.
  • Keep abreast on overall activities in each functional area to identify problem areas and take corrective actions.
  • Identify industry best practices and make recommendations for changes.
  • Develop and track relevant statistical information for distribution to upper management.
  • Coordinate and implement safety program to ensure overall safety. Coordinate with facility maintenance to conduct safety inspections and quarterly safety drills.
  • Confer with supervisors and employees to ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular training classes to include safety and other areas under the contract.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Operations is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years as a manager or Supervisor responsible for the Quality Assurance of an operation preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Experience administering AbilityOne contracts and knowledge of the AbilityOne and SCA regulations and processes preferred.
  • Pass and maintain Department of Human Services background clearance required.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain designated background clearance level for all assigned contract locations required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Willingness to work "hands-on" in the operation; accountability is a must.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT).
  • Ability to read and interpret administration manuals, contract manuals, and corporate policies.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be very organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
