Job Summary:
The Junior Accounts Assistant will support the finance department by performing a variety of accounting tasks, including managing financial records, assisting with data entry, and helping with the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have Experience in QuickBooks, be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Assist with entering financial data into the accounting software (e.g., invoices, receipts, expenses).
- Accounts Payable: Support the accounts payable process by ensuring invoices are processed on time and vendors are paid accurately.
- Accounts Receivable: Help track and manage outstanding customer invoices and assist in following up for payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Filing & Record Keeping: Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents and records for easy retrieval.
- Assist with Financial Reports: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring they comply with company policies.
- Support Audits: Help prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and internal controls.
- Customer & Vendor Communication: Assist in communicating with clients and vendors regarding billing, payments, and other financial inquiries.
- General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the senior accounting team as needed, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining calendars.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience: Experience in QuickBooks (QB) or similar accounting software.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
