Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and analysis of general ledger/financial statements for a group of restaurants, including the monthly preparation of journal entries to properly state the financial results in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze the monthly general ledger activity to determine which journal entries are necessary to properly state the financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Recommend, prepare and input journal entries into the general ledger system based on determinations made from analysis of the general ledger activity.
- Work closely with restaurant management to complete the above general ledger analysis/processes on a monthly basis in accordance with the monthly closing schedule.
- Participate on monthly financial statement review calls with restaurant management and provides input/explanations regarding the activity in the general ledger.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet general ledger accounts and research/resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Assist with various audits, including the annual financial audit.
- Completed Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of general ledger systems
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
