This full time salaried Position of Assistant Manager consists of being responsible for Operations, Marketing, Employee Training, and Customer Service management for a busy bakery cafe.
*MUST have (3-4) yr min previous FOOD Handling experience and (2) yr customer service and Hospitality management Experience_ *_
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve optimal performance from employees by communicating and role modeling job duties and customers service.
- Help Maintain café financials to include cash controls/procedures; Apply cost balancing knowledge in all daily operations of the café.
- Actively participate in the selection, orientation and training of associates.
- Analyze and adjust staffing needs.
- Oversee Front of house, Kitchen and back of house functions to provide our guest with an impressive and memorable dining experience.
- Maintain food presentation, restaurant cleanliness, and overall appearance of interior and exterior of the café.
- Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following all safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Consistently monitor that all employees are following company protocol and guidelines.
- Must have open availability (Weekends & Holidays)
- Work hours are typical between 5am to 9pm (7 days a week) with additional hrs as needed. a typical work week will be 40-45hr/week.
*Core Duties:
- Responsible for the business performance and operations of a fast pace Bakery Cafe.
- Analyzing and planning sales levels and monitoring profitability.
- Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
- Creating and executing plans for profit and staff development
- Reviewing budgets with upper management and cost control enforcement
- Coordinating and managing operations during scheduled shifts
- Managing staff throughout their shift and providing them with feedback and support
- Responding to and Resolving customer complaints/concerns
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's standards
- Greeting customers and doing table visits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Recruiting, training and motivating staff to deliver premium customer experience.
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Checking stock levels and ordering supplies
Required Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Must be ServSafe certified
- 3 years of food handling experience.
- 1-3 year management experience.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skill
- Must be able to stand for up to 80% of shift
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly with easy
- Time management, ability to prioritize.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
