Materials Buyer

Paris Gourmet is a leader in the gourmet food imports business for over 41 years. We are a growing team with a strong vision for the future.

We are looking for a motivated candidate, with 2-5 years of Materials Buyer experience, preferably in the Food Industry. 

***Position begins in early February, 2025 on location in our Rutherford, New Jersey office-we do not pay for relocation***

Responsibilities include:

• Purchasing of raw material and repack supplies.
• Knowledge of cloud based ERP replenishment and purchase order processing with a focus on kit assembly.
• Establish, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Heavy interaction and collaboration with multiple Warehouses and Public warehousing staff.
• Process all paperwork to ensure correct inventory, invoicing, and submission of payment.
• Analyze and enter landed costs, and cost changes to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information relating to pricing, sales and customer information.
• Experience with product packaging supplies and current trends.
• Collaborate with Marketing, warehouse, and Brand management to ensure packing needs are met.
• Knowledge of GS1 barcodes and barcode assignment.
• Participate in physical inventory counts including cycle counts.
• Familiarity with Product Information Management systems.
• Light traveling to multiple warehouse locations and supply related trade shows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field
• Excellent communication verbal and written.
• Organizational and problem solving skills
• Computer skills utilizing ERP software, Microsoft or Macintosh.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to team up with various departments on projects.
• Fluent in a foreign language- not required but preferred
• Knowledge of Acumatica Inventory ERP a plus.
