Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover essential cosmetology topics, including hair, hair coloring, waxing, barbering, makeup application, hair extensions, nail care, and anatomy knowledge.
- Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to students, ensuring they understand techniques and safety protocols.
- Assess student performance through practical evaluations and written tests, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Assist in the management of classroom supplies and equipment to ensure a safe learning environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a licensed cosmetologist with expertise in multiple areas such as hair threading, hair coloring, body waxing, barbering, makeup application, hair extensions, nail care, and anatomy knowledge is essential.
- Experience in adult education or teaching is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to students of varying skill levels.
