What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician Part-time position at paristexas.?
This position requires knowledge of laboratory procedures associated with the treatment of water and wastewater. Performs tests on samples from the water and wastewater treatment facilities. Tests samples from area industry and water samples throughout the City. Analyzes test results. Prepares chemicals and maintains the laboratory area. The hours for this part-time position are Mon-Fri. 7am to 11am. This position contributes to the retirement plan for The City and has paid holidays, vacation and sick time.
Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. An Associates Degree or Bachelors degree with emphasis in biology or chemistry is preferred. Certification as a laboratory analyst preferred. Must be able to read and follow detailed technical instructions. Must be able to express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. Must be able to perform light or medium manual labor as required by laboratory and sampling procedures. Must be able to perform essential function of the job.
