Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Pool Manager manages the operation of the City swimming pool for the summer. The Pool Manager supervises and evaluates pool staff. Conducts staff meetings and completes reports as needed. Schedule is flexible.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervises pool operations and both paid and volunteer staff. Directs and supervises the collection of all fees, prepares daily records of receipts and deposits in accordance with City policies. Maintains and submits records in respect to daily patron admissions, revenue, sanitary water conditions, accidents, first aid, rescues and assists. Develops and maintains ongoing in-service training for Aides, Concession Manager, Lifeguards, Water Safety Instructors, and Swim Coaches.
Qualifications
Must have at least a high school education. Must have good swim skills. Must be able to communicate with diverse groups of people and have good interpersonal skills. Must have management and supervisory skills. Must be able to respond quickly and calmly to emergencies. Must have current certified lifeguard certification, CPR certification, and minimum of 2 years lifeguard experience. Certified pool operator certification “CPO” required or obtained within sixty (60) days.
