Job Summary
Do you want to partner with Executive Leadership on all aspects of the facility? Does being a leader responsible for providing professional engineering services in support of the design, acquisition, construction, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of facilities sound exciting to you? Then you should be Park's next Facilities Engineer! We need you to manage and coordinate major facility improvements, renovations, and the construction of new facilities.
- Essential Job Functions
- Drive results after gathering and analyzing data, design plans, and reports.
- Maintain overall facility layout drawings.
- Develop construction drawings for internal use.
- Determining facility and equipment specifications.
- Develop project costs and preparing budgets.
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
- Work with management to develop plans for facility expansions and equipment replacement.
- Work with Facilities Manager to ensure proposals are consistent with maintenance operations.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation based on understanding the big picture.
- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance activities.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
- Taking on the coordination and preparation of large infrastructure projects.
- Reading and interpret building plans and specifications and assure conformance with building and safety codes, regulations, and requirements.
- Taking the lead in working with Federal and State regulatory agencies.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Education / Experience / Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer or in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects a must.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- PLC programming and troubleshooting skills required (Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Automation Direct).
- Read and interpret drawings, plans (Mechanical)
- Experienced with Variable Frequency, Servo Drives, Multi axis CNC and their associated controllers.
- Project Management & Project Planning experience.
- OSHA compliance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics (Electrical Troubleshooting)
- CAD experience
- Working knowledge of Hazardous Waste regulations
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders and bend at the waist.
- Ability to reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
- Must drive a vehicle to conduct work.

- Hazard Communication Training
- Chemical Handling / Basic RCRA-Initial and annual update
- Training to applicable procedures that relate to area of responsibility.
- Electrical Safety / Lockout Tagout
- Compressed gases / Cryogenic Liquids
