What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para-Educator/Office Clerk position at Park County School District #1?
- Assist with the overall function of the school office and work load by contributing to a positive office and school atmosphere, offering pleasant and accommodating services from the Clark School office to parents, students, and community patrons
- Provide support for students in assigned grade level as directed by the teacher and building principal
- Assist with the operation of the building library/instructional media center/computer center so the teacher and students, either individually or in groups, are able to take full advantage of available resource materials
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- 2 years of college (48 hours), Associate’s Degree (or higher) preferred, or Praxis test highly preferred
- Demonstrated competence in editing, proofing, and data processing; excellent skills with computer systems required; knowledge of and/or specific training in word processing, spreadsheet, database, Microsoft, PC software, etc., highly preferred
- Ability to work and interact with students of elementary school age, parents, and staff required
- Demonstrated successful record of confidentiality and handling of confidential materials
- Willingness to adapt to specific or new working situations
- Demonstrated history of continued professional growth and ability to learn on the job
•Serve as a member of Clark Elementary School’s building team; work closely and cooperatively with the school’s administrative officials, central office staff and administrators, teacher, and support personnel
Qualifications:
Salary: District Support Services Wage Schedule (2024-25 clerk base = $16.45/hour)
Employment Term: 35 hours per week (175 student days 6 holidays) this is a benefit eligible position - pro-rated for 2024-2025
