General Duties:
Media Specialist works to provide support services from the media center and daily instructional support for students and staff in grades P-5 at Park Creek School. Duties will also include participation in PLCs throughout the school and with individual teachers to support literature, research, writing instruction, and the role of digital technology in instruction.
The successful candidate must be able to fulfill his or her role in helping to create and maintain a learning organization for students and staff.
Qualifications:
To be qualified for this position an applicant must possess or be eligible for Georgia professional licensure as a media specialist. Official transcripts, professional certification, and all test scores required to validate education and licensure.
The Media Specialist position is not open to alternative route candidates.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Extensive knowledge of high school literature, research, & history with extensive skills in information & research, including online research, to assist students & teachers
3. Experience using online writing and revision tools
4. Excellent social skills that support the ability to build professional relationships with staff & students in order to strengthen staff & student services through the Media Center Program
5. Must have a genuine affinity for books and for promoting reading to include all genres
6. Instructional technology background

Salary : $49,052 - $92,360
