Responsibilities:
- Conducts physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, noting anything that might need repair, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and reports same to the Facilities Manager for resolution.
- Perform minor repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, office and kitchen equipment, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping & drying , dusting, trash/debris removal and emptying receptacles.
- Ensure that all areas of the facility are kept clean and organized.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
- Proven experience in building maintenance
- Ability to perform minor repairs and fix things
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
