What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer/Advisor position at PARK FORD?
Assists customers with requests for repair and for maintenance to ensure that vehicle is fixed right the first time. Suggests additional services & repairs. Works at overcoming customer objections. Assists the Service Manager in operations of the service center by writing up work orders, accurately maintaining records, supporting promotional activities, complying with safety and environmental programs and practices, and any other duties assigned.
- Greets all customers promptly, provides timely professional services.
- Departs from traditional ways of doing things to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions to identify customer needs, and resolving customer concerns.
- Estimates cost and completion time/settles customer accounts.
- Obtains the customers written approval on all repair orders at the time of write-up or when closing additional add-on sales: has the customer initial all estimates at time of write-up or upon completion of of the sale.
- Attaches a Multi-Point inspection to every work order, and explains to every customer that we will be performing a free Multi-Point inspection on their vehicle.
- Reviews service history on every vehicle to determine previous repairs and maintenance history.
- Presents a Maintenance Menu to every customer, utilizing provided training scripts.
- Present all ASR's to customers; presenting the features, advantages, and benefits.
- Inspects every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
- Overcomes customer objections consistently, with constant focus on sales and customer satisfaction.
- Performs a Walk Around as per policy guidelines.
- Performs an Active Delivery with every customer.
- Answering incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the callers inquiry.
- Document all repair order changes.
