Park Theatre in Estes Park, CO is looking for two or three seasonal Part Time Theatre Floor worker to join our 5 person strong team. We are located on 130 Moraine Avenue Po Box 3052 in Estes Park CO. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.

We have positions available from 5-30 hours a week. This is a part time position and often times is a split shift. up to 6 hour work increments. We love Student workers

We offer a Base wage per hour plus shared tip after training period of 2 weeks is over.

THEATER FLOOR STAFF GENERAL DUTIES: Theatre Floor Staff personnel support the management staff in the day-to-day operations of the theater. In any given shift, Floor Staff personnel may work in the box office/concession stand, restrooms, and auditorium, ad some times in projection booth- minimally. 

SPECIFIC TASKS/DUTIES: 

CUSTOMER SERVICE  

• Smile while on duty

• Greet all Customers with a pleasant, upbeat attitude

• Thank every Customer that is served

• Answer telephones in a polite and expeditious manner

• Assist Customers to the fullest extent possible in tickets, concessions and other matters.

SCHEDULED SHIFT WORK 

• Show up to work on time as scheduled

• Notify management prior to any tardiness, schedule change, or absence/ sickness 

• Clock in and out on the Homebase app and clock in and out of all breaks

• Stay busy at all times when on duty- cleaning, dusting, sweeping, moping tidying up of the theatre


UNIFORM DRESS AND CLEANLINESS 

• Wear company shirts when provided or other movie shirts are usually good to wear. If uniform shirts are requested for a particular event please wear and present a professional appearance

• Maintain an overall appearance of cleanliness and neatness no ripped clothing unless it is part of your uniform (ie: Jurassic World we had ripped shirts like a dinosaur ripped them)

• Meet specific company dress standards regarding long hair being pulled up and secured for health reasons, jewelry, clothing, etc., that will be prescribed at the sole discretion of management  


STOCK/INVENTORY CONTROL  

• Help Stock and Monitor inventory of concession products. 

• Rotate concession items to prevent spoilage

• Restock materials and supplies (may involve carrying loads up to 50 pounds)

·     Filling Refrigerators for Drinks, Ice into soda machine for drinks etc. 

·     Stocking Candy, food items, Alcohol etc.    


SELLING OF ITEMS 

• Sell tickets and concession items to customers

• Be knowledgeable of the items/events offered by the theater and their prices

• Help Inform Customers of their buying choices

• Use positive, up-selling, and suggestive selling practices

• Present/serve purchases in an approved manner

• Receive money and count the correct change for each sale

• Use the point of sale (POS) systems located at the theater for every sale 

• Become knowledgeable of company procedures regarding the use of sales terminals

• Accurately control the money in assigned cash drawers

• Accurately control the ticketing of Customers

• Sell Memberships, Tickets, and Concession items

• if above 18 Sell Alcohol to those above 21 check ID’s as well for all those under the age of 40

• Turn over groups/ Special events to the Sales and Management team


CLEANING/SANITATION 

• Maintain a clean work station at all times

• Prepare & handle food in accordance with company policy and local health regulations

• Clean any & all parts of the theater as directed by theater management this includes the auditoriums, lobby, concession stands, windows, porch/ patio, outside, the closets, drawers, chairs, stairs, bathroom etc.

• Wash counters, utensils, dishes, windows and equipment

• Sweep and mop floors

• Pick up and empty trash in and around the building

• Care for facility and equipment with high level of consideration for its value at all times • Other cleaning duties as assigned by the theater management


ADVERTISING/MARQUEES 

• Update theater marquees, posters, flyers and menu boards (may require exposure to the elements of weather for brief to intermediate periods of time)

• Know the story lines of all current, and upcoming movies

• Present a positive image to all Customers while on duty

·     Learn the history of the Historic Park Theatre and help inform history info to the customers.

·     Help customers sign up for memberships, loyalty cards, etc.

THEATER Monitoring:

·     Check auditoriums for sound levels/ control of audience

·     Make sure movie is operating as it should, help with trailers, sound, closing doors

·     Adjust and check for Heating and cooling needs

·     Turning up and down lighting as needed

·     Turning on sound for music

·     Accept deliveries at the theatre of posters, marketing materials, food, hard drives etc.

Special Events:

·     Move furniture around, including lifting couches, chairs tables etc.

·     Put up special layouts for special events of the Chairs and tables for weddings, reunions, parties etc.

Qualifications

  • Be able to speak understand and Write & communicate English effectivly.
  • Willing attitude to learn- we realize that often this is an employee's first job.
  • Willing to work with others in cheerful manner
  • Able to use a computer to charge tickets, concessions,
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs up to 2 flights- with out a lift.
  • At least 14 years of age with guardian permission/ or work permit
  • Able to Clean including sweep and mop
