Duties
- Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of patient care.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix for each shift.
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain compliance with Medicare and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support in hospice care practices, enhancing the quality of life for patients nearing end-of-life.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork among nursing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication within the facility.
- Stay updated on best practices in nursing management and regulatory changes affecting nursing homes.
Experience
- A valid nursing license with significant experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a nursing home or similar environment.
- Proven experience in nurse management or supervisory roles, demonstrating effective leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with care plan development, documentation review processes, and Medicare regulations is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Experience in hospice care is preferred but not required.
