Building Upkeep

We are seeking a Building Maintenance for our client in the Bolingbrook, IL area. This will be a temp to hire position. Please read the job description before applying!

Overview
The Building Upkeep position is essential for maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of our food manufacturing facility. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring that the building systems operate efficiently and that the environment remains safe and welcoming. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge, along with experience in facilities maintenance, and will be responsible for supervising upkeep activities.

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs, fabrication, and installation of fixtures, patches of walls, plumbing, lawn care, etc.
• Operate and troubleshoot logic controllers to ensure optimal performance of building systems.
• Use tools
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to building upkeep tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong supervisory skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure.
