Job Summary:
We are seeking an operations manager working out of our Clinton, NC location. This position will be responsible for the overall performance of our six retail stores located in eastern North Carolina. This position will also have oversight for the home heating and commercial propane sector of our business. As operations manager, you will be expected to travel to our various locations to monitor expectations in the areas of customer service, technical service, safety, employee relations and overall performance of the division.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of approximately 70 employees.
- Promoting a safety 24/7 philosophy and providing the tools, support and direction necessary to maintain a safe operation.
- Hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and separation of staff as needed.
- Accountable for the P&L within the scope of responsibility.
- Take ownership of ensuring that we provide optimal customer satisfaction.
- Growing the business while maintaining current customer base.
- Explore opportunities to reduce employee turnover.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years working in the propane industry, preferred.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT standards and requirements.
- Experience working in a customer service driven role.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
