Position Summary
Position Summary:
The Pricing Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting profitable growth thorough data-driven analysis and actionable recommendations that enhance customer value, optimize competitive positioning, and improve overall profitability for the division. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data to inform the division's pricing strategy, particularly focusing on the price-to-resistance approach.
Reports to the Division Strategic Pricing Manager. Does not have supervisory responsibilities. Will directly support the Pricing Department, Product Managers, Field/Inside Sales, and distribution channels.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Monitors and keeps divisions focused on corporate strategic pricing initiatives. Responsible for creating and reinforcing continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models. Responsible for implementation of tools to be used by product managers and field sales.
- Daily quotation of the nonstandard product lines. Quotes to be maintained in the quote database along with the competitive database. Quote to be issued at market pricing with complete focus on increasing market share of division products.
- Assists division in determining appropriate list prices, standard discounts and rebates and managing any restructuring, updating, communication and publication of price increases.
- Maintains a disciplined quote structure for nonstandard pricing. Analyzing the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach.
- Provides management with reports which allows management to effectively respond to changing economic conditions and market changes. Performs ongoing measurements and reporting on pricing effectiveness.
- Interact with the Corporate, Group and Division personnel. Will directly support Division Strategic Pricing Managers, product managers, and division management. Communicates effectively with all other departments, mainly Customer Service and Field Sales.
- Maintains product knowledge not only with the divisional products but with our major competitors as well. Responsible for keeping competitive information up to date.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BS in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field with 2-5 years’ experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Project management skills with sales/marketing experience a plus.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices and cost accounting.
- Must be able to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping pricing information confidential.
