This position is for Parker Hannifin’s Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Accountant Analyst has sufficient knowledge and experience to assist the Division Accounting Manager to analyze diverse and complex financial information, ensure the G/L accuracy and Compliance integrity. This position collaborates with the Operational units and Divisional staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze diverse accounting information.
- Preparing Financial Statements.
- Preparing accounts reconciliations.
- Posting journal entries.
- Participating in budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Cost improving tracking initiatives.
- Participating in Physical Inventories.
- Participating on the Month end accounting process.
- Supporting internal and external Audits.
- Preparing corporate and government reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- High knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI, etc.).
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
- Multisite company experience is desired.
Skills:
- Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must continuously maintain the highest degree of integrity, customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual is preferred (English and Spanish).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting or standing.
- Ability to use hands and fingers for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.

SALARY INFORMATION:
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: Pay Range: $84,942 - $141,713 annually.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status).
