Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Position sources suppliers, and may assist with bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justification, and risk assessment of suppliers.
- May assist with supplier negotiations on new procurements or changes to existing purchase orders.
- May draft purchase orders and agreements for approval by the Sourcing & Commodity Manager.
- Coordinates and participates in supplier meetings.
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline.
- Experience and/or exposure to supply chain concepts and methodologies, and manufacturing through internships or training programs.
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
- Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to understand electronic processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
