Job Summary
The Beverage Manager leads daily operations of the restaurant with a focus on beverage program excellence while ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience. This role oversees and develops FOH and BOH teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture. Working closely with the General Manager and Regional Beverage Manager, the Beverage Manager drives sales, manages costs, and optimizes the beverage program, including inventory management, cost control, pricing updates, and vendor relationships.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining organization and cleanliness, overseeing beverage menu updates, and ensuring efficient shift operations. This role also involves leading pre-shift meetings, monitoring service flow, and completing closing duties such as safe counts, labor sheet reviews, and nightly closeouts.
Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Lead daily operations with a focus on beverage program excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee organization, cleanliness, and completion of sidework tasks.
- Manage beverage inventories, cost control, and pricing updates for beer, liquor, and wine.
- Ensure efficient shift operations, including overseeing line service and managing nightly closeouts.
Team & Leadership Development
- Support the development of FOH and BOH teams, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
- Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and promote team alignment.
- Provide coaching and feedback to ensure consistency and professional growth.
Financial Oversight
- Support cost control efforts through effective inventory management and portioning.
- Contribute to sales growth by promoting beverage offerings and guest engagement strategies.
- Assist with labor management and staffing adjustments based on business needs.
Beverage Program Oversight
- Work closely with the GM and Regional Beverage Manager to implement and refine beverage programs.
- Maintain vendor relationships for beer, liquor, and wine, including product ordering and inventory accuracy.
- Assist in updating beverage menus, ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest preferences.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Train staff on responsible alcohol service and enforce company policies.
Supervision
In-Venue Oversight:
- Oversee FOH staff during shifts to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
- Partner with BOH staff to maintain seamless communication and operational flow.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address any concerns to maintain high standards.
Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 2 years of experience in beverage management or FOH operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Knowledge of beverage program management, including inventory and vendor relationships.
- Basic financial acumen and proficiency in POS and operational tools.
General Requirements:
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Current ServSafe and BASSET (or equivalent) certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Salary Range 70k-85k DOE
