What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expresso Bar Barista position at Parker Palm Springs?
Responsible for providing 5 star service to our guests including but not limited to: prompt service, quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Greets guests according to The Parker’s Standard Operating Procedures
2. Prepares or serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees etc.
3. Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils or equipment
4. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning
5. Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them
6. Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products
7. Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blends or preparation descriptions
8. Receive or process customer payments
9. Serve prepared foods, such as muffins or pastries etc.
10. Take customer orders and convey them to other employees for preparation
11. Take out garbage
12. Prepares checks, collects payments and follows cashiering procedures
13. Completely understand and follow the department and hotel standards of The Parker
14. Replenish all service items (silverware, glasses, china as well as other general supplies)
15. Takes responsibility to keep work area clean at all times
16. Sets up work area with necessary supplies
17. Maintains guests satisfaction his/her top priority
18. Follows and works according to the standard operating procedures of the restaurant
19. Other tasks as assigned
