Position Summary: The Quality Technician position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications (include but are not limited to):
- Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others in coordination of multiple job tasks involving several work shifts
- Record of dependability and good attendance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Outlook
- Exhibit the ability to carry out assignments with little or no supervision
- Ability to make objective decisions regarding technical data and specifications
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Willing to travel off-site if needed
Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Work cooperatively with management and all associates
- Perform destructive and nondestructive tests on finished product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded as directed by the Quality and Engineering Manager
- Prepare quality sample specimens for testing
- Conduct chemical checks of support equipment as needed
- Perform dimensional testing of parts and record results
- Complete required documentation and log into computer for record retention
- Be familiar with customer requirements and specifications
- Identify and report non-conformances of visual and metallurgical standards
- Willingness to participate in educational training programs as required
- Other duties as required
