Position Overview:
The HOTC/Workforce Development Coordinator plays a key role in planning and implementing the POINT Pathways program. This program will support students as they transition from high school to their future careers. This individual will guide and mentor students in exploring options such as college, trade schools, apprenticeships, and the workforce. The individual will also oversee the management of the Hands on Training Center and related programming.
Personal Requirements:
- A committed, born-again Christian with a passion for youth ministry.
- Active church member in good standing, supported by a pastoral recommendation.
- Knowledgeable in the Gospel and skilled in sharing the message of Christ.
- Deep care and concern for the spiritual and personal growth of students.
- Ability to pass PA State background checks and clearances.
- Possession of a valid PA driver’s license.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum Associate’s Degree, Trade School Graduate or equivalent in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience or background in construction, trades, social work, education, or related fields.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Energetic and outgoing, able to inspire and engage students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office technology/productivity tools.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including evening or weekend work as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the continued operation and expansion of the Hands-On Training Center (HOTC), ensuring it remains a dynamic and impactful learning environment.
- Actively recruit students from The Point and local schools to participate in HOTC and other Point Pathways programs.
- Collaborate to plan, organize, and facilitate classes and projects; recruit, coordinate, and supervise volunteers and instructors to lead training sessions.
- Ensure all workspaces, tools, equipment, and materials are maintained, safe, and readily available for program use.
- Collaborate with the Point Pathways Director to counsel and guide students in making informed decisions about their post-high school futures, including options for college, trade schools, apprenticeships, and entering the workforce.
- Plan and coordinate visits to colleges, trade schools, and work sites to expose students to real-world opportunities.
- Plan workshops and learning experiences for students to develop career-related skill sets (financial literacy, resume-writing, interviewing, etc.)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, tradespeople, and ministry partners to create pathways for student engagement and career exploration.
- Coordinate the collection and tracking of data required for grants and other organizational needs.
- Align all programs, activities, volunteers, and instructors with The Point’s mission and vision.
- Perform other duties as needed, in alignment with the goals and mission of The Point.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
