Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Upper-Level MOD Teacher to work with students in our special needs program. This role focuses on providing personalized instruction, life skills development, and academic support to help students reach their full potential in a caring, faith-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement modified lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide direct instruction in core subjects, emphasizing real-world application and life skills.
- Create a structured, nurturing classroom environment that supports student learning and emotional growth.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Work closely with parents, administrators, and support staff to track progress and set goals.
- Foster independence, confidence, and social development in students.
- Integrate Christian values and biblical principles into daily lessons and interactions.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and team collaboration to enhance the MOD program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with students with special needs (preferably at the upper school level).
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, IEPs, and behavior management strategies.
- Patience, creativity, and a heart for serving students with learning differences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
