The Opportunity:
Power BI Visualization Specialist - Leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Clearly convey the key insights or "story" the data reveals in a visual format that is grouped, summarized, or formatted to be easily understood and actionable.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from different departments to gather requirements and understand their data visualization needs.
- Create visually appealing graphics and charts that enhance data comprehension and facilitate actionable insights.
- Perform unit and integration testing; participate in reporting validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting and data analytics.
- Conduct training sessions for team members on utilizing Power BI tools for effective data analysis.
Requirements:
- Power BI certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Proven experience in creating data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles to optimize user experience in dashboard design.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering strong relationships across departments.
- Experience with DAX for advanced calculations and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Github, Power Query, and Power BI Service, SQL, and SSMS or similar tools.
- Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development cycle is preferred.
- Some experience with data warehousing preferred.
