Job Summary: The Automotive Warranty Engineer plays a vital role in managing and optimizing the warranty processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and providing technical support for warranty-related issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage warranty policies and procedures.
- Analyze warranty data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and customer service, to resolve warranty claims.
- Develop and maintain warranty reports and dashboards for management review with a focus on fuel system performance.
- Travel to customer warranty and technical centers for review of returned parts.
- Conduct thorough investigations of returned parts and provide technical analysis and reports.
- Travel to manufacturing locations, as required, to support problem solving and verification of corrective actions for manufacturing related warranty issues.
- Ensure compliance with warranty policies and procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing locations and customers regarding warranty-related issues.
- Prepare and present warranty performance reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on warranty engineering or quality assurance.
- Experience with OEM warranty management systems.
- Proficiency in relevant customer warranty portals and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, warranty management systems).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Up to 50% travel to customer and manufacturing locations.
