Our mission emphasizes a caring community committed to treating each patient with respect and professionalism. This is a part-time Mohs Assistant position. Able to work 15 to 20 hours a week.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dermatology.
• Experience in patient care settings, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory processes is preferred but not required.
• Ability to assist with basic medical procedures.
• Knowledge of specimen collection processing techniques is essential.
• Able to use an iPad
• Understand aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.

Clinical duties include:

• Assist healthcare providers with Mohs surgery
• Prepare patients for surgeries by taking medical histories.
• Manage a sterile work environment
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments.
• Ensure a clean and organized environment to promote patient safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and follow-up procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall patient experience.
• Educate patients about treatment and procedures
• Preparing and administering injections

Dressing changes and suture removals

*This is a part-time position. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7 a.m. -12:30/1 p.m.

*Our office does perform background checks and drug testing. We are a smoke-free workplace.
