We are seeking a contract-based Yoga Instructor!
Our goal in providing yoga at Parkside is for our patients to learn skills that they can take with them when they discharge. Most of our patients will not have the funds to attend a yoga class after they discharge, so our goal is to teach them basic yoga poses and breathing techniques that they can practice on their own. We want to emphasize self-calming and relaxation skills. Please avoid difficult or potentially dangerous poses. Many of our patients have not been very physically active and are easily injured.
Appropriate activity space and yoga mats are provided.
Qualifications
Certified Yoga Instructor
Ability and willingness to work with inpatients.
